Biography
 
Kristina Ingate provides interim governance and company secretarial services and consultancy, mainly to organisations in turnaround, set up and change scenarios. See projects and governance expertise for more information. 

Ingate Interim and Consulting was established in 2009 and has provided services to government companies, regulated bodies, infrastructure, construction,energy, housing and safety and security sectors. This includes companies incorporated by shares, mutuals, guarantee companies, social enterprises, by royal charter and charities, and those complying with the UK Corporate Governance Code and public sector governance together with groups operating internationally and in the UK. 

Prior to this  Kristina Ingate served as Institute Secretary for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the leading professional institute for human resource management in the UK and Ireland. She was responsible for its corporate governance and legal affairs, and also for its national network of 48 volunteer-run branches providing learning and development activities. Holding a director-level role and a member of the senior management team she had a shared responsibility for CIPD's strategic planning, direction and operational effectiveness on a cross- institute basis.
 
Kristina has also held the chief operating officer role of Diocesan Secretary in the Diocese of Guildford (covering Surrey) and Head of Resourcing (Local Management and Personnel) for Southwark Education. Her experience includes senior roles in Further and Higher Education. 
 
She has served on a number of national working groups and stakeholder bodies including on the implementation of the 1993 Charities Act in the Church of England (14,000 charities) and as Chairman of the UK Interprofessional Group (UKIPG) Corporate Governance Working group.
 
Kristina has served as a charity trustee, a school governor and holds other voluntary appointments. She has a special interest in: risk governance and subsidiaries; the role of  the professions: the role of non-executive directors in different organisations; governance of subsidiaries in group structures and comparative corporate governance in different sectors.   
 
Kristina is a chartered secretary  FCIS (qualified company secretary) and holds a MSc in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, management and marketing qualifications, together with membership of various professional institutes.
